Challenge accepted.
“This year at Burning Man 2023, House of Fabl unveiled its multimedia, immersive storytelling project, consisting of two interconnected artistic experiences. Taking inspiration from the book ‘The Immortality Key’ by Brian Muraresku, and paying homage to an ancient mystery cult, the House’s artists, Hunter Leggitt, Keenan Hock, and Jonathan Berry, in collaboration with Christiana Musk, premiered the large-scale art installation 'Chalice to Eleusis' and showcased its choreographed 1000-drone, 270 M wide Sky Story - “Unlocking the Mysteries,” which took to the skies on Wednesday and Thursday nights.”
In June of 2023, Hunter Leggitt and House of Fabl reached out to Featherbuilt to help design and fabricate a 40’ art installation for Burning Man.
Combining forces with structural engineer Carl Fosholt, lighting designer Brian Pinkham, and an additional team of eight other fabricators and builders, the Chalice to Eleusis sculpture made its way to the playa.
Managing the team for all in-shop fabrication, I lead the processing, assembling, and organization of over 300 sheets of plywood that created the pieces that would eventually become the 20,000-lb structure. We worked under strict deadlines and coordinated between multiple team members to pull off the ultimate installation.
